When she is chosen by an orc war commander during the Receiving she must face the monster and hope to survive the encounter. This is a short story monster romance with elements that may be triggering to some readers including indentured sex work with non-consensual acts against the female main character, off-page family death, and talk of war and the lives lost due to it.
